Yeast and Bacterial Infection
Taylor went to the vet this morning because she was up the last 2 nights crying with a ear problem..... Turns out it's an ear infection both yeast and bacterial..... He gave her drops and pain meds. Her ear still hurts, she cries when she scratches it, but I think her pain med is making her super hyper. She has not stopped running around and keeps wanting outside.... Is this a common reaction? I thought she would be sleepy, He gave me some to take home but if this is how it works I am afraid to give her anymore....

What are the names of the drugs? There are a few different medications that
a vet might have prescribed for an ear infection, and they have different potential effects on dogs. Wanting to run outside a lot could be explained if she's on prednisone or another steroid (which I've seen a few vets prescribe to bring down the inflammation of very severe ear infections).
