That stinks to be sure but my agency is even worse!
When I leave I only get paid for 15 sick days and I have banked
(max) 120! So am I feeling guilty? Heck No.
I should do this more often, retirement is right around the corner.

OH NO BUDDY!!!! I hope you are feeling better today! Poor baby!

I had worried about the heat yesterday with my boys home all day while I was at work but BF had a good idea, he told me to keep everything open all night the night before when it was cool and then in the morning shut everything, all windows and close curtains and shades. Well that worked great! yesterday was 94 degrees here and my house was only 76 degrees! I didn't want to turn on the A/C for just one day since its barely in the 60s today.

I hear ya! In the early 90's I worked for a school system in AZ. There was an appreciation day and we were told we could go to the cafeteria for a free lunch. We go and get our food, get to the end of the line and they find out we are PT instead of FT and actually make us give the food back!

I have done this also but yesterday the house was really cool when I left.
I do leave the a/c during the hot days for him but like you for one day
I didn't turn it on until I got home last night.

My company gives 5 sick days a year and its a use it or lose it policy. You have until Dec 31 of that year to use them or you lose them. You can't bank any, you can't roll any over. Nothing!

I use mine for the most part. Its paid time off and I lose it. I think its definately a generational difference, I probably should care more about my job!

Hopefully, it was just the heat that got to Buddy. I saw the temps up your way on the TV and was like, what the...?? Down here it's just been a slow creep towards the inevitable heat and humidity but mostly has been pretty nice. It was pretty warm and humid last week here and I was really drained after a day of yard work. It can get to you until you're acclimated to it. I bet with the cooler temps that Buddy is a much happier camper. Y'all enjoy your afternoon off. Best to you and your 'Bud'.

I think the worst is over. He has not thrown up since yesterday morning
at 5:30 am. He has kept his last three meals down and his poop, although
the brightest color I have ever seen, is still soft, the pumpkin is working. We both got a good night's sleep. I was leary to allow him to sleep
with me but I took the chance and he didn't move all night.
He loves the pumpkin. I was wondering, is this something that can
be used as a snack? Because it's all natural I thought that to be
an idea. Not sure tho so I'll wait for responses.
I am still feeding rice and chicken, however I did put a few kibbles
in last night's meal and his breakfast.
Not wanting to give him treats as yet I stuffed the pumpkin into
one of his chew bones and left him with that this am. He's free in
the house again since he seems to be able to hold his bowls at
this point.

Where do you purchase these?
Since Bud enjoyed the pumpkin I may replace the
sweet potatoe cookie's with these. He's not thrilled
with the sp cookies anyhow.

Yeah Buddy so glad Carol that he is doing well. Great idea on those pumpkin treats..I'll have to check those out myself for Izzy.

Can someone post the fat and protein amounts for me please if you have the bag handy? Asking since Izzy has Pancreatitis and I have to watch those two things.
