| Poor Shelby! Shelby was just fine this morning. I walked her, I noticed that she was having a little problem pooping. But she did get the poop out. But throughout the day I noticed that she was pooping, a lot. She has pooped so much that it is practically liquid. She is shaking so much. I have given her water, and some Nutri-Cal. She feels a little warm but I also have the floors on(we have heated floors) so she might be getting heat from that. I can't get her to the vet, since Hubby is at work and will be until 4pm(it is 230pm). Our Vet is Korean, and it is sometimes hard to explain what is going on over the phone. Is it just hypoglycimia? Or is it something worse? She has had all her shots. She is 5 almost 6 months old and around 2.5 lbs(she is so tiny. Vet said she isn't going to get bigger) Please help!

| We just got back from the Vet. Shelby had a fever, and is a little dehydrated. They gave her some medicine and an iv. We have to take her back tomorrow to make sure she is okay. Gosh I almost had a heart attack.

YT 500 Club Member | Oh Beth, I just saw your thread! How is little Shelby doing? Did the vet say what is wrong with her? And do you ever use the vet on base?

| Thank you! That is the one thing I hate about taking her to an off post vet. They don't speak great English so, she was having problems explaining. But from what I understand it was just a virus she had picked up. The vet gave us two different kinds of medicine and Shelby had a shot and two iv injections. Quote:
She had been eating grass at the dog park. I wonder if that had anything to do with it.... The vet office was closed by the time we got there. And no one answered the Emergency line. We have had enough of on post vets. They only seem to be available for shots and not routine care. Shelby is doing fine! She is back to her old self, running around like a turd. You still up for her spending Thurs-Saturday afternoon with you all? I am trying to talk Bob into coming to Osan on Sunday. Would you want a Yorkie meetup? Punk isn't too keen on bus rides so it will prolly just be Shelby. Quote:

Update: Shelby is doing really good. She rested all day yesterday and today she was hell on wheels again. So she is definitely back to her old self. Thanks for keeping her in your thoughts and prayers!

| I hope Shelby keeps getting better. Its really spooky when the little ones get sick. A lot of vets don't have enough experience with the little tiny ones. I also have a Shelby and a Punky. |
