| Need your advise ASAP My next door neighbor just called and Pepper (9 month old Yorkie) is back in surgery. She was spayed last week and friday my neighbor took her in because pepper was lathargic and had a knot next to the insition. They gave her some antibiotics but this morning the spot was huge and he teet was swollen. She rushed her to the vet and she is in surgery right now. They said she had an abcese and it would have burst if they did'nt bring her in today. The doctor thinks they may have to remove the teet. Any suggestions or advise. They said she could come home tonight. This sound like what happened to Millie. Im so upset. Please advise so she can inform the vet on something they may not know....Thanks so much Lissette. |

| Poor Pepper I have no advice. Just thoughts and prayers going out to Pepper. I hope all goes well for her. This sounds so scary. I hope all goes well, and was caught in time. Please keep us updated.

| Thanks, They had to remove her teet. They said it was so infected probably due to manipulation during her spay. It just make me sick. She has all kinds of drainage tubes and will be allowed to come home tomorrow....What a day..... |

| This is why I hate when dogs aren't sent home on a broad-spectrum antibiotic after surgery. I know it's best to know what bacteria you are treating, but sheesh, that is scary and probably could have been preventable. I hope Pepper recovers quickly. Poor baby.

| I am so sorry for Pepper, the poor baby girl. It sounds like you neighbor is a good Mommy and took her to the vet right away. I will say a prayer for Pepper tonight.

| I couldnt sleep last night thinking that she may passed away. She stayed at the vet last night and is on IV fluids. Not only did this 9 month old girl have a hysterectomy(spay) she had a Breast removed 5 days later. Pepper is from Lolas last litter and is Yogis Sister. Im sick to think that the vet punctured her breast during the spay. Im very worried about getting a phone call from my friend Toni, today...Just had to vet this morning. |

| Wow, all this is so scary. I had no idea any of these things could happen. And to think when i was worried and nervous about my Coco going for her spay everyone laughed at me. |
