pray for my yorkie I am new to yorkie talk. I just read about Bentley and I am praying for him. Please pray for my yorkie too. He caught a cold from our new puppy and the vet put him on antibiotics, but he is not getting better. He has been making these asthma type sounds also with a whistling sound ,like he is not getting enough air. I noticed tonight that his nose is swollen and dripping. I am calling the vet first thing in the morning, but I am so worried. I too am so worried about him,I love him so,so much. He is my best friend. I have only had him a year and a half, but it seems like i have known him forever.I also dont know what i would do if something happened to him. He is the sweetest dog in the world, and I truly need him.

I'm so sorry about your baby being sick. Is there an Emergency Vet you could go to? It'd sure be easier than waiting until tomorrow. I hope everything is ok.

With the wheezing, and seeming not to breath right, could he be having a bad reaction to the antibiodics? The swelling is scaring the heck out of me. Please don't wait till morning. How long has he been on the medicine?? Do we have a vet or vet tech on the board here?? Last edited by Jemma; 04-10-2009 at 03:33 PM.

If his nose is swelling, he may be having an allergic reaction to something. In that case, he may have swelling in his trachea as well.l That could shut off his breathing. I would take him to an emergency vet right away.
