| My puppy got electricuted yesterday. I make sure I always keep her from the wires. She was heading towards them so I told her to play with her toy and distracted her. She was playing with her toy when my friend called. I was talking to her for a second and the next second I know, my pup is screaming and crying and shaking. Thankfully she is going to be okay. I called the vet and they said the only thing you can do for her, if she is still eating and drinking, is to give her ice chips. This was a really scary experience because I didn't know if she was going to die. |

| yes, they really are. I just feel bad, I dunno what to do about her pain. Is there anything you can give them. Her tongue is sticking out, I assume because she is trying to cool the roof of her mouth off. I have been using a beaker to make sure her mouth stays hydrated. |

| I just wanted to say that I hope your baby will be okay. I don't have any experience with this.

| She probably has a burn in her mouth somewhere. She is going to have a sore mouth for a few days. You know how much your mouth hurts when you've burnt the roof of your mouth or tongue. I would make sure she has cold fresh water always available. That should help make her mouth feel a little better.

| Check with your vet. Ours has given us the amount of Infant Motrin drops to use for our dogs. They go by weight. But I would ask them and not guess on the amount.

| okay thanks for your advice, I'm going to call around, because the vet I have been going to is more concerned about the sucking the money out of you, rather than your pup. I'm going to take her to a different vet! |

| Sorry to hear that....this happened to my Gixxer....Be sure to watch her, because when Gix got ahold of a cord he started to have seizures later on that night. They had to keep him at the Emergency Vet over night because the elect. put fluid in his lungs and they had to put him on Oxygen and diuretics (sp)....it was just a heal with time deal....he is perfectly fine now and showing now symptoms. He was over it in a couple days.... So I will keep your baby in my thoughts and hope for the best!
