I was looking at this too - it's pretty low in fat and protein and close to the Scient Diet W/D. Watch which Wellness you get as some have higher fat content - this Holistic Blen (fish) is about the lowest - unless you go with their canned food. I wonder why canned is lower in fat and protein vs. dry?

Izzy is terrible too and she's so thin to begin with that she also needs some fat but boy if I go above that 8.7% fat content I'm afraid she'll have to go to the vet again.

Was Baylee's bloodwork done before he was neutered? Was anything off at all? Probably not a bad idea to at least have his stool checked. If he keeps vomiting, I would definitely take him in. Generally, vomiting bile (the clear yellow foamy vomit) is usually an indication of a too empty stomach. However, every pup on here that has experience pancreatitis or other intestinal illnesses have all vomited bile on a fairly regular basis (even if it is just once a week), so I would kep this in mind. A quality low-fat yogurt such as Stoneyfield Organic, or Dannon Naturals may be good to begin giving him to add some probiotics to his system. Doesn't need to have much - maybe a tablespoon. Most pups love it!!!!! Good luck!

| Oh! Thanks Ya'll...I dunno how to start a thread on my own. However, Baylee went to the Vet yesterday, and a CBC test was done. His labs turned out to be normal, and he was given a Reglan shot for nausea. Right now, he is acting fine and eating like a pig ( I guess he has to make up for yesterday). When I got home, I noticed where he got into an artificial plant and chewed the stem of one of the leaves. Who knows? ...His tummy ache may have been caused by that. Either way, he's doing great, and thanks so much for your concern and responses. -Stanitia (Stan) |
