				   | I read your other thread and am so glad to hear this vet is willing to do what he can do to save her. I agree with everyone that you made the right decision as hard as it has been for you. Hugs to you and wishing Stormy many more years |

				   | Bless you, your family and Stormy. I have to say though that I have not been on this site for a while, so I don't know what Stormy's condition is. Could you please inform those of us that do not know what happened to Stormy? Thank you |

| YT 2000 Club Member | I have kept up with your entire thread. You have certainly had to make some very difficult decisions in a very short time! I admire you in your ability to make a very difficult decision and know it could have only been made out of your unconditional love for Stormy. You, Stormy and your family have touched my heart. May God bless you and your family and keep you strong and heal little Stormy soon. I pray Stormy is home with you all where he belongs very soon.

| YT 1000 Club Member | I have been following your story like many others. I remember in one of my posts on the other thread that I told you making the decision to put her down was probably one of the hardest ones you'd ever have to make. I think I was wrong because giving her up has to be about the same (maybe not as bad since this decision is giving her a chance at life). I pray for you and Stormy that the good Lord can guide this vet's hands to make her well. I hope she'll be coming home to you healthy and whole. Her love for you will be eternal because I think dogs know the sacrafices we make for them sometimes. Her name suits her being that she's going to be weathering the storm. Keep us posted. Best wishes for you all. |

I bought Stormy back in Oct/08. As soon as I brought her home I found out she had a problem with her knees (LP) and then a week later she had two seizures. I am not sure if they were low blood sugar or what else they may of been caused by, she hasn't had any since. Then in Dec. she had an accident with nair which after all was done and healed her nose fell off, the black part! So since then we have been in and out of the vets and he hasn't really explained what is wrong with her but once he thought it was infection in her nasal cavity, then ulchers on her eyes, blood in her poop. Finally the other day I noticed she was acting a little weird, I am not sure why, now that I think back onto it, we had a very busy weekend with family down from out of town, she is a shy one a bit especialy with a full house of people that she isn't very familar with. I was busy of course so didn't have all the attention to give to her but on Monday we went in for a check up to the vets about the ulchers, he had me get one of those collars that they wear after a spay so she couldn't scratch her eyes because she had gotten another ulcher in her other eye. Well after being home a couple hours I took it off and right away she started to act a bit weird, I freaked out because she kind of fell into my hand and just seemed out of it, I gave her nutrical incase that was the problem and brought her in the vet. I said to him I found a couple small pieces of milk chocolate on the floor earlier that morning so I wasnt sure if she ate that or what may of been wrong. He had told me she was in critical condition and he couldn't do anything for her and the best option was put her to sleep. So I made the decision to go ahead with that only to get a call 5 hours later that she wasnt put down and another vet thought he could fix her because it seemed it wasn't as serious as the other vet had said, but he wanted me to surrender her to him so he can do everything at a low cost since he is the surgeon there. So that is where we are now. He said it would cost me alot to do everything he is going to do including surgery to correct her nose and I am laid off and with all the vet visits we've already been doing I just can't afford to spend any more so I saw this as my only option to figure out what is going on with her. I am hoping and praying he may give her back to me after all this is over Last edited by yorkie_mama22; 03-26-2009 at 07:35 AM. | |
