I believe you were meant to get involved with Teagan. I am so glad that when I responded to Marie's ad on Hoobly that I told her I was a member of YT. You've raised Megan the way I have raised my son. Imagine an Executive at BCBS Insurance with a tiny baby bird in his office, that he is feeding. ![]() We are all just going to pray for Teagan to recover. If he turns out to be a candidate for surgery, and I am allowed to foster him, I will not apply to adopt him, I will step aside and he will be Megan's baby boy. I don't want her hurt any further. Hugs, Sheila

that there is a real possibility that he just might not make it and I will be forced to tell her the entire story. THAT is what is just eating me up about this. I wanted her to see that with good work and intentions that good will come from them. Sheila if you were to eventually be able to either foster or adopt Teagan that would be a wonderful positive life lesson for Megan~~and that is what I would like for her to take from this experience. If Teagan were not to make it and he needed to be PTS that is also a life lesson but a much harder one to learn from that I an not fully prepared for with her. It is a very kind offer to step aside but that was not my intent in sharing that part of my story. Let's just hope we get a little more news today.

| It is so wonderful to hear that Teagan could not be more loved! Either home would be heaven for him.... I will be checking back to see if he is can indeed have his surgery. When will we know for sure?

If we get good news today, (and believe me, I am praying hard.) and if I am approved to foster Teagan, then Rich and I will bring Teagan to visit you and Megan, or you can bring Megan to visit Teagan as often as you want. I'd like Megan to learn that good things happen, and there are good people in the world. I truly want this to be a positive life lesson for Megan. I don't want her hurt any further than she has been, by seeing Teagan suffering. I think you are truly a loving example of what a Mom shoud be..... Sheila

That is the type of lesson that I would love for her to take from Teagan. To go and see that he is flourishing with as much love as he could possibly have, want or need. ![]() Thank you all for all of the nice compliants to myself and Megan. They really mean a great deal and are helping me through this emotional rollercoaster that I have been on the past 3 weeks.

I am on pins and needles waiting to hear what YTNR's Neuro says about surgery. It truly has been an emotional roller coaster, hasn't it? Marie had my life tied up in knots, with all the phone calls and e-mails and my Vet speaking with her daughter, and believing I had convinced Marie to bring him out to my Vet with me....... I was never more relieved than when you called me the other day and said you had him!!!!! And after hearing the ER Vets report, I know she never intended to face my Vet.

I'm hoping Jodi will hear something today from YTNR and we're praying it is good news. But I will admit, I am terrified, considering what Jodi's Vet said, and what YTNR's Vet said. But I do believe in miracles and if the injury can be corrected and he can live with the congenital defect, free of pain, then, he will have a life full of love. He will have the life every puppy deserves. I also hope, anyone reading this thread, has learned, time is of the essence in regards to taking these little ones to the Vet. There's never such a thing, as a "wasted Vet trip".

| The ER Vet he stated needed to be taken to a Neurosurgeon. Supposedly, the daughter is a Vet Tech. She spoke to my Vet and he told her to give him 1/4 tablet of Rimadyl twice a day for one week, and then, for her mother to bring him out with me, to be examined after one week on the Rimadyl. My Vet was willing to provide the exam free of charge, because I wanted to adopt him. The daughter never told my Vet that the ER Vet said he needed to see a Neurosurgeon. He was never told he had a congenital defect. Last edited by Yorkieville200; 03-26-2009 at 08:45 AM. Reason: error |

Thank you, I think all the members of YT are Teagan's Angels. I hope Jodi will be able to give all of us some hopeful news. I've gotten to know Jodi, because of Teagan and without her, Lord only knows what would have happened to him. She's one determined young lady! She insisted Marie had to turn him over to someone who could afford his care.
