♥ Mama's Boy ♥ Donating Member | Paranoid or if something is really wrong Please help I don’t know if I am just being paranoid or not but for the last two evenings Tobie has been acting kinda of funny. He just acts like he doesn’t feel well, he won’t eat his food and just lays around. He usually wants to play play play, I took him on a walk this afternoon and as soon as we got home he got a drink of water, I gave him his food and now he is just lying around. His belly feels warm, I don’t know if this is normal or not. But today he was fine and it is only happening in the evenings that he starts to act this way. Please can someone help me or give me some advice, I am starting to really worry about him. I don’t know if I am just being paranoid or if something is really wrong. and he is walking around with his tail down.

| are his gums pink? How old is he? How much does he weigh? Layla has days where she is play play play during the day and just out of it at night- and then opposite- I used to worry but now i've realized she has different moods and energy levels just like I do. If he is eating/pooping/playing normal during the day- and his gums are pink- sounds like he is just tired after a long fun day Layla also differs as the season do (nuts.. i know) she is CRAZY during the winter- playing her fool head off- in the summer- she slows down as the heat starts to affect her. |

The lighter part should be pink, not white, blueish, purple, gray, etc.

| And I should have added to my last post, if he is laying around and has been for two nights straight and it is not normal for him, I would be concerned also. If it looks like something is wrong, there probably is... You know hi best. How old is he?

| hmm.. so not teeny tiny but a nice size.... i see what Crystal (Ellie May) is saying about being concerned, but I also know that Layla can be like that and she ends up being fine.... i'd give it a few more days.... offer him something speical to eat and see what he does. |

| well a small amount is ok as long as it is not a "lite" yogurt as that contains aspartame which is toxic to dogs. Low fat is fine- and even great if you have it- but as long as it is not a lite yogurt- should be fine for just tonight. If you are looking to give him yogurt more often- Layla gets it nightly- There is a great brand- Stoneyfields which is organic- look for the non fat plain. great stuff! |
