| My Peppy takes a prescription cough syrup (from CVS) for his trachea..... What are you giving it for? You vet can easliy give you the correct amount to give over the phone... My Emerson also has taken children's sudafed and my Mom's dog has taken children's benadryl....... but every time it has been instructed by my vet...

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I just read somewhere that certain humancough syrups cannot be given to dogs. I think it was the ones with an ingredient that started like psuedo something. So I would definitley talk to my vet first.

| Thanks everyone. I went over it with my vet since she recommended cough syrup for Tila. It just caught me off guard when she recommended it, because I didn't know that they can be given it. She went over the right dosage and what kind to get we're set, I just wanted to check it out further. Thanks everyone. |
