| Reactting to shots... Hey Everyone, Baxter got his second set of shots today and is really not feeling well. He seems lethargic and sore where the vaccination was. Is it safe to let im sleep this off? Should I be doing something to help sooth him? Thanks, Walter |

| It can be scary and I wish he could just tell me what is going on wit him right now. These vaccinations are important though but I am hoping that he is able to just sleep this off. |

| Is he really lethargic as in not eating or walking? When my Libby gets her shots, she is very sleepy for the rest of the day she gets the shots. I think it was her second set of shots where she was sleeping so soundly, I thought she was dead. Scared me half to death. If you are feeling real uneasy, I'd say give your vet a call. He is probably just sleepy, but sometimes they have reactions that should be dealt with. I hope Baxter is feeling better soon!

| Well Again, I am happy to report that Baxter is doing just fine this morning! He had another one of those breathing episodes (breathing extremely fast) last night while sleeping. When let him out of his crate this morning he gave himself a big stretch then started running around the backyard after potty then like normal jumping on me while I made his breakfast! I believe his left leg (where he got his shot yesterday) is still a little sore but he was full of life and energy as he was getting up to start his day. Perhaps I need to get my own paranoia under control... :P Thanks again everyone! Walter |

| That's normal after shots. So you know for next time, if his gums turn any color other than normal pink, it is likely an emergency. If he is swelling at all, it is an emergency. The same goes if he doesn't respond to you.
