Hope your Princeton is feeling better every day. How's he eating now? Is he holding his weight, gaining or losing? When is his echo? Prayers continue!!!

today went well he ate and i gave him some yogurt..he played didnt sleep as much barking seemed very gooddd.. his echo is in 5 days on the 20th but now his poop is really dark brown.. someone told me it on here it could mean hes bleeding internally and to bring him in right away! im totally freaking out right now

They list circling as a symptom? What the heck is that? Does that mean they can't walk straight they only go in circles sorry do not mean to sound stupid......

Black is from bleeding...blood that's from internal bleeding is black, like coal. If you smeared some on white paper, it is actually black not brown. They do sell Hemoccult kits at the drug stores, just put a small sample on the card...and turn it over and apply the solution. The color changes show if the dark color in the stool is indeed blood or not. If you don't feel comfortable or confident in testing it yourself...take a sample to your vet, yep, put it in a baggie...they will test it for you. Is his poop solid or runny? Does he seem to go more often and urgently? If so yes, by all means get him back to the vet ASAP. When they are bleeding from the rectum...they can not hold it...it just comes out, seeps. I certainly hope and pray he's not bleeding...when did you first notice the color change? Was it after he ate anything that may have color in it?

well i picked it up with a baby wipe and it was brown when it was smeared def not coal black.. but def darker then normal.. they are solid and normal timed. i took ur advice and stored one in the fridge GROSS im going to bring it in tomorrow but i dont think its blood

Circling is walking around in circles for no reason (not like some dogs who do it when they have to poop).

my bf just went to drop off the poop that i thought was a little dark.. my vet called me a worry wart

he told me to calm down and take care of myself..i just loveee my baby so much

oh yea and theyre going to do an Xray AND ekg on tuesday

ill keep you posted

Many of us know exactly how you feel.... worrying about every little thing. I sometimes wonder how I got this way, I sure never worried about my Schnauzers this much. I'm obsessed with watching everything that goes in and out of my Yorkie & Morkie. Busy life isn't it?
