My little guy had some stomach issues at about the same age. He started vomiting bile, then progressed over the next couple weeks to vomiting blood. He was diagnosed with bleeding ulcers in both the upper and lower digestive tract at that time. He got over it then, and now he's 5 years. Sometimes he still has a sensitive stomach. It seems that once it gets started, it continues for a few days. The yogurt helps, but, when the sensitive stomach continues, a scant 1/4 or less of a Pepcid before bedtime helps him sleep without wretching or waking up vomiting. As always, ASK YOUR VET FIRST. Also, when he gets very sensitive, I switch to homemade rice and chicken or venison. He prefers the venison.

Thanks, London, I followed your instruction and now he's doing alright.

He's back to his feet, as adorable as before, and he's starting to follow his regular feeding schedule.

It's not as if I have established a 100% causal relationship between feeding my yorkies yogurt with live cultures and their stomach upset, but for now at least, it seems to be doing the trick. With a heaping teaspoon of Activa for each before bed time, we are back to normal with no medication

There have been no "hickups" either, which is what Daisy was doing before throwing up; so I'm adding this to their routine. If you do this, be sure and pick flavors that are safe for dogs (mine like vanilla) and dont overfeed.
