Can't Figure It Out Hello all. This is my first post here but I've been visiting the page for over 6 months now. I have a 2 year old Yorkie her name is Rory. Rory got Parvo back in May but made it just fine, buti t was the first time anything had been wrong with her so now I am a nervous wreck anytime anything happens to her. She was in heat the first weeks of October and it seems since then she hasn't been much of a eater. Right as she came out of heat she had a bloody mucus passing so I took off to the vet and he said it could've been nothing at all, her test showed nothing. Well after that for about 2-3 days she wouldn't touch her dry food. She was interested in human food but not her food, so we stopped with the human food all together and tried to make her eat the dry, she wouldnt so we got her a different brand and she ate it ok for a day or two. It got to the point though she would throw up yellow about 1-2 times every week the entire month of November and from everything I had researched it seemed like hungry throw up. It was usually early in the morning or in the evening after we got home if she hadnt ate anything that morning. Well use to she's eat anything and as much as you would let her but now she want even eat a cooked egg or some of her old favorites. and her throwing up is getting more common. About 5 times these past 7-8 days. Sometiems she'll eat like she's hungry and the next time she wont touch her food. Also she's been drinking a lot more the past month but I think it's due to running the heat since we've had a early blast of winter this year. Well this morning she went to the bathroom and I spotted what looked like a small clear rubber band on top of her stool. I took a touchpick and moved it off the stool and from what I can tell and guess it was a worm. I've looked a lot online and saw that a lot of her problems might be related to worms. She is about to go to the vet, my wife is taking her, but i was just wondering what you guys think about her?

Just got a call from my wife, the vet listened to what was wrong with our puppy from the front desk and told her it's worms, so either I can give you the worm meds over this counter and only charge you for the meds or you can comeback to the back and i'll check her out but there will be a charge. So she called me and I told her to just take the meds and if this didnt help her by saturday or so we'd go back to the vet. So he was nice and saved us 30-50 for the exam, I just hope thats all thats wrong with Littles Rory. Also I want to say sorry my post was so long it's just like I needed to talk about it lol. I was never a dog person, until I got this little fur ball, now it's like weird to think about not having her so I get sick to my stomach when she's not feeling good or being normal. I hope it's just worms.

Well Rory threw up just pure foam as soon as she got home from the vet but then my wife gave her the meds (1 and 1/2 pills) and put down some of her wet food she enjoys and she ate 1/2 pack of that, so maybe this will help. Thanks for the replies

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Aw, poor baby! I bet she will feel better in no time, as the treatment starts to work. To settle her tummy, you can also give a bit of cracker or bread - it helps settle and absorb, just like in us humans.

Ok it's 8pm and heres the update. Rory got her medicine I think around 2:15-2:30. She also ate 1/2 pack of wet food. She was fine, playful and everything till about 7:15. she was laying in my lap jumped down and threw up her food. :-( She then tried to throw up right after that and it was more like a burp. then she threw up 2 more small spots which I really think is just left over from the first once since it all happened within 5 minutes. I first got worried really bad but I'm guessing there is a chance the worm pill medicine mae her sick to her stomach, atleast thats what I am wishing for. I hope this doesnt turn into a bigger issue than just worms Anyone else ever had worm meds make their dog sick?

One more post before I call it a night. I've looked online for 40 minutes solid and I see a lot of people have problems out of this Drontal Plus. I see it can cause throwing up and the other messier issues. I got some of the pedialyte if she really starts with either of them.
