projectile clear liquid from pups nose?? I have a 7 wks 1lb 8 0z pup that is from a litter of 4. He has been having a post nasal drip for about 3 days. Yesterday I sucked some white snot out of his nose. Today the litter was going in for their well check and the vet lightly squeezed on his tummy and at least 1 1/2 ml came shooting out of his nose. I about fell over and so did the vet. We thought he threw up. Totally clear liquid that doesn't smell. I got sent home with antibiotics. Vet had no idea and had never seen that before. I have been breeding for 6 ys and never have either. No cough, goopy eyes, no temp and he is eating and drinking. Tonight I played with him and he wagged his tail and walked around and BOOM about 1/2-1 cc again pours out of his nose. It happened 4 times in about 20 minutes. He shakes his head everytime and looks so bummed out. He doesn't want to walk around much because that happens. WHAT IS GOING ON? It just sooo much liquid that just randomly pours out when he moves. When he's quite, post nasal drip and a wet face. where is this liquid coming from? If it was his stomach liquid, wouldn't it smell or be cloudy? Has anyone ever seen something like this. I'm soo worried.

Are you sure he doesn't have a hole in his palate. Some puppies with palate defects are able to nurse and be weaned but it's starange you didn't notice it before now

Palate is fine . It's so strange and it's really bugging me what it could be. I haven't seen him do it today , but I haven't picked him up to play. I'm afraid Hopefully it's just a very strange sinus thing and the clavamox will sort him out.

I'm not talk about a cleft palate. My daughter has a dog with a very large hole way back in his soft palate. It can't be seen by just a quick look in his mouth. He was put under when he was a pup so the vet could look at it. I can sometimes see it when he yawns. Any time he vomits or reguritates it comes out his nose and he has had pneumonia twice.
