Why does Royal Canin cause bladder stones? I haven't heard that one. My vet recommends the Royal Canin as well. In fact, the other day when I had Reggie in for coughing and we were discussing possible allergies my vet said that they would not have me switch foods because I was already using a good quality food. Now you have me concerned.

I am currently using the Royal Canin Puppy 33. I get it through the breeder's shop where I bought Reggie. She is also a groomer and sells dog supplies. She had told me at 10 mos when it is time to switch to adult food that I could just use the small dog forumula since Reggie is 3/4 Yorkie and 1/4 Lhasa Apso. Is there a difference in what I am using and what you are talking about?

I read the side of the bag and the RC I am using does have corn gluten in it so I am not sure how the vet thinks it is totally corn free. Confusing to me. BTW, my vet told me a drop of baby oil in each ear a day would kill ear mites too as well as relieve dry ears which my dog had for a while causing him to scratch. Once I got him groomed and they pulled the hairs from his ears he quit scratching his ears.
