| Update on Uma Uma had her check up this morning and the Vet. says she is 99% recovered in her spine!!!!!! She is walking and running and playing. Still no playing with Yoko though. That's because Yoko is nearly twice Umas' weight and much heavier boned and we don't want any body slamming for at least another month. Going up on furniture is fine...no going down. He is having me wean her off the pheno. this month.....unless she has another seizure. Overall I am ecstatic over her check up. He did commend me on the care I gave herand my patience. That really made me feel good. YAY!! Uma is going to be just fine!!!!!!! Forgot to add....Vet. tech. said Uma is one of the prettiest Yorkies she has seen!

| I didn't see your thread about Uma's injury, but I'm so pleased to hear that your baby is well - what fantastic news! Also, I have to agree with the vet tech she's a little stunner! xxx xxx

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | YAY, Uma ! That is just incredible - and what a GREAT Mommy you are! You basically healed your little baby, when she was so very sick. She is so lucky to have you. Just so happy to read of her recovery. Her story was so scary to me, esp. when you were describing the extent of her seizures. I'm just curious, I wonder why - given the severity of what happened - why the vet might not keep her on a low-dose anti-seizure med for longer term, if not for life, ya know? Just curious. Give Uma big hugs from us!

| Oh my, I can hear the happiness in your voice! I too missed the original thread. Could you post a link to it? I am so happy that your little one is recovering from what sounds like a serious injury. You truly are a good mother! And if that is Uma in your Avatar she is, indeed, a beautiful dog! Good job! |
