| We use Garden State Emergency Veterinary Hosipital in Tinton Falls. (We live is south Jersey.) But if her BAT test comes back positive or there appear to be some other problems, I would definitely travel. I would appreciate anything you have to share. As everyone on this site knows, this is such a scary event.

| Sasha's BAT results We just got Sasha's BAT results, which are elevated: pre 69/post 111. Her urinalysis, thyroid and all other bloodwork are normal. We are hoping that we can medically manage her condition......but further testing is necessary. Doc is recomending ultrasound but I want to talk to her about scintography. Sasha is doing well....no seizures this week.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I am sorry to hear her BA were elevated. Cali's were 0/92 and after an ultrasound which showed no external shunt so we did a liver biopsy when she was spayed and it showed very mild MVD, which requires no treatment. Cali is 3 1/2 now and was diagnosed at 8 months. She is very laid back too. I will keep Sasha in my prayers and hope for good news. My 11 year old pom had a Grand mal seizure about 6 months ago out of the blue, very scary, and the ER vet said they can have one for no reason sometimes. She was fine the next day and has never had anymore.

| cocoangel, you could also request that a Protein C test be done...That helps confirm liver shunt as well but doesn't tell where the shunt is...If she's had a seizure, then she's definitely symptomatic....Those numbers show that something is going on in the liver. Did you physically get a copy of her bloodwork? Check and see if ALT is elevated at all or if the ALB is low...Also check the BUN...
