| Asha is vomiting and has diarrhea, please pray for her Asha started late last night with vomiting and diarrhea. Her tummy was making lots of gurgling noises. This morning seemed to be doing some better and actually took some interest in eating and drinking. Has never really acted like she felt horrible all day. Played some with Barney. Gurgling noises have gone. Tonight she started vomiting again. Just small amt clear to bile looking fluids. Now no interest in food and water again. Just lying here. I am off work in 45 min and taking her to the emergency hospital. Would have taken her today, but thought she was pulling out of eat when she ate and drank some. I am so worried. Please say a prayer for her

| Update We're back from the emergency vet, and according to the fecal test, it showed a parasite that she most likely picked up from eating something she shouldn't have. The only problem is, she never leaves my site when she is outside, and she stays in our yard only. We don't let her wonder. The rest of the time, she is in the house, and we keep her and Barney confined to one side of the house only. Anyways they gave her some IV fluids, an antibiotic, some Reglan to prevent further vomiting, and some probiotics to sprinkle on her food for the next couple of weeks. She seems a little more perky just since the IV fluids, but is definitely tired. Hopefully tomorrow will be a new day. We feed Innova daily as far as food, so I don't think it is pamcreatitis. Thank you for the prayers and good wishes!

| I hope and pray she is well on her way to a full recovery, who knows what she got into. Its like taking care of a baby isn't it, they can't tell us what is wrong or were it hurts. I had went through the a similar situation 3 weeks ago, and I am still watching them close. My vet had me boil hamburger and cook rice and I fed them this for 2 weeks and then slowly readded there regular food till the stools were back to normal. they loved the mixture. |

| I just read your first post and was physically ill - now I feel like throwing up . I was so relieved to read that Asha is feeling better. About the parasites - according to my vet (and it really makes sense) we can bring these terrible monsters to our babies on our shoes, clothes, etc. Your update was such a relief - I am so glad that Asha is feeling better. Please give your sweetheart a hug and kiss from me ( and if there is one to spare, share one with Barney as well). |
