I dont know if this constitutes an emergency or not.....

Hope got ahold of an acai berry extract gelcap.... it says it is an antioxidant and has no additives.... should I panic?

I read about it online and dont see any terrible side effects or any infomation on pets?

has anyone ever read about these?

THANK YOU for replying! My vet was not open but they are connected to the LSU Vet school here now! I called the LSU Vet Hospital... they advised that they do not have much experience with this but dont think it will be harmful to her although it may give her an upset stomach. The vet there says that they do give antioxidants to dogs so the only problem will probably be that she had too much of it, thus the stomach!
We will just keep a watch on her and let them know if anything changes. They are there 24 hours.
I was VERY impressed with them, this is my first call, you have to be "referred" and I have never had to call. They called me twice, after a conference with all the doctors on call so I am very glad to know I am now an "accepted patient" of their clinic.

Glad to hear they think it's going to be okay. These little ones sure can make us worry! I hope she doesn't suffer even the tiniest upset tummy!

Don't take the limited replies personally, happens to me all the time.

Donna, I am so glad to hear you got a hold of a vet and that they think she will be alright, what a relief!!
Hopefully she won't even have a tummy ache. They sure do know how to get themselves in trouble and make us worry don't they?

She is sound asleep, on my legs... I am hopeful that she will do just fine... the little brats.. I had my pill container(the 7 day kind) in my purse... Tootie pulled it out of my purse and opened it in about the whole 2 minutes it took me to walk down the hall and back... gotta watch them like toddlers!

Hope sends hugs and kisses to her sissy and family too!

altought, the replies I do get, come in handy.

I'm glad to see the clinic said that you don't have anything to worry about.. I will keep a close eye out on you thread.
