| ![]() Hi, everyone. Okay, so yesterday late afternoon Tila got sick, she vomited a couple times. It was yellow. Bile. She got sick twice, the whole day she was fine. Normal. Then late that night she went to the bathroom and it was very loose and smelly!! I thought oh, no. If she does it again or is still like that tomorrow I'll take her to the vet. Today she is fine. Her normal happy self. Her poo is also back to normal. Now today Odie vomited like four times, he threw up all the food that was in his belly. He had just eaten a little before. Then a little bit after he went to the bathroom and it was very loose and smelly!! If it was just one of them going through this I would keep it in mind and keep an eye on him/her, But to have both of them have these symptoms within 24 hours of each other concerns me. Tila eats anything she finds on the floor so I thought it may have been something she picked up, but with Odie doing the same thing. What's up? Now with the food recalls should I be concerned?? I'm feeding them Royal Canin. I know how everyone feels about this food. But it is my choice and it's the best food I can find around where I live. They haven't had any problems with the food before. They've been on it for awhile. We bought them a big bag, we just finished that one off on Sat, or Sun. I opened the small bag up and thats what they've been eating. I don't know what's going or what I should do. Anyone have any idea?? Thank you!!! |

YT 2000 Club Member | ![]() it could be the food but that doesnt seem likely, was this a new bag or one that youve had for awhile? If its one that you've had for awhile you would think that it would of made them sick at every feeding and I dont think they would of recovered so quickly. I just saw that you opened a new bag when I went back and reread your post. It very well could be the food then, you could try another bag and see what happens??? It does sound like they may of had a virus, similar to a stomach virus in humans. My 2 bigger dogs had one a couple of years ago. Out of the blue my sheltie got sick and was sick for 3 days he only threw up once but had terrible diareah I had to take him to the vets to have him rehydrated and just when my sheltie started to feel better my beagle got sick same symptoms same amount of time. Vet said that dogs get these kinds of virus's all the time just like humans. Could they of gotten into something outside maybe? Maybe you could call your vet and ask them, they should be able to give you some suggestions as to what it may of been. Well I hope they are feeling better.. ((hugs)) for both of them. ![]()
