| Swollen teats, nesting, panting and sulky today - false pregnancy? Hi everyone, I'm really worried about my Roxy, over the last week I've noticed her teats quite swollen and she's been doing more digging than normal in her bed and ours too. Today she has been carrying her toys around and lying on them and generally behaving strangely and a bit sulky. Just ten minutes ago she was panting and drinking a lot of water which is unusual too. She is 1 year old and was in season a few months ago, we are sure she has not been near any males. Is this a false pregnancy? It is quite distressing for her and me as I'm worried - she's not her usual energetic self. Does anyone know if this is common or how long it will last? We were planning on getting her spayed quite soon. Can anyone recommend what i should do. Should I stop her nesting and mothering the toys or play along with it? |
