| Any ideas before trip to vet??? Ginger has developed a rash type thing on her underarms and neck. Actually she has two things going on. Little black crusty spots that look a little like flea dirt but won't wash/scrape off (and no fleas in sight on anyone) and a little bumpy red rash that has scabbed over in places. She started to develop this a week ago and I bathed her really well, began using the benedryl again (she suffers from allergies) etc... Anyway, she's had this once before and the vet was stumped. We're heading there today (not sure why) but thought I'd see if anyone has any thoughts before I do. Thanks in advance. Edited to add: She is not scratching at any of it. When she first started chewing/itching a few weeks ago, I did the benedryl thing and ended up shaving her hair pretty short. She had already chewed the hair off her legs. (inside of an hour or two). THAT I know was her allergies, she goes through that every year at this time. This isn't even in the same place she was chewing.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | It's a stretch, but have they ever done a skin scrape for yeast? What was that other thing folks have mentioned lately pyroderma, pyoderma????
