| I never heard of any injection to treat this.... But the powder medication you got , acctually is called Panacur -C, or SafeGUARD , can be purchased and given for a few days and will get rid of it. It is very mild and it can be given for 25 days or more even for pregnant females ( i never used it like this but you can read some on the Panacur website) . It also kills worms and tapeworms. It is what i heard works and i use it on all my dogs since it is actually a nice dewormer. Good luck and it looks like you got tons of good advice here ...

Daisy had giardia when she came she was on meds and it actually got worse from a grade +3 to a +4. My vet gave me a human grade medicine for her i can't remeber the name we had to deal with this for almost 3 months. Giardia can live in your grass for up to a year as well so you need to pick it up off the grass to. It was 4 days after i found out Daisy had it and i had to chizzle poop out of the snow lol. You must seperate you dogs i'm sorry but it is a must because if they lick or smell the others butt and they have any poop reminence there they can be reinfected you need to bath them 2 times a week and clean their butts everytime they poop you also need to wash your hands everytime you touch your dogs this is highly contagious and can be transfered to you. also they need to be confined in a play pen, x-pen whatever till it's over this will save you $$$ and time from disinfecting every area in your home. There is hope but it's a hard and long journy to get there but there are a lot of articles about Giardia do a google search or search here on YT. I am really sorry they have it i know first hand how you feel, I hope they get over it soon. P.S...... Do another poop sample at 3 and 6 months after they clear the giardia because the cysts aren't shed in every poop.

| I just found out about my new pup and am anxious to get the results of my other two. I am hoping to god it stops with the pup as it will be easier to control. If there is an infection, will it show up right away?
