| In labor I am a little concerned that my Yorkie may be having some issues while giving birth. I saw a sack around 8:30pm and it went back in. I am assuming this is the water sack. However it cam back out, but this time it another sack is coming out along with it. I have never done this before ad not sure what is going on. It is now over 2 hours later. |

Living My Yorkie Dream Donating Member | Oh gosh, you might have two pups presenting at the same time. I have not had any experiance with this... You may get quicker replies from knoweldgable breeders in the breeders section. Good luck to you and your mama

Living My Yorkie Dream Donating Member | http://debbiejensen.com/whelping_trouble.html Not being there, I'm not sure what is happening & as I said I don't have much experiance (only 1 litter-no problems), but check out the link I posted. This may be what is happening. I'm just not sure. Is the mom in any distress? I think at this point I would be at least calling the nearest emergency vets to see what they say or maybe even taking her there. Two hours with a sack(s) presented with no puppy born seems a bit long to me. I'll say some prayers.....keep us posted.

Living My Yorkie Dream Donating Member | Whew! Glad to hear that! Congratulations! So were there two sacks or was it maybe one sack and two bubbles? If there were indeed 2 sacks, then I would surely expect at least one more puppy. There could be another pup anywhere between 10 minutes to 1-2 hours, but don't let her go much longer than that. The link I posted has lots of great helpful information on whelping & caring for newborn pups & the mama. When you get a chance you may want to read up on the different links on either side of the page.

Living My Yorkie Dream Donating Member | Congratulations on the girl & boy! Did she have anymore after that? I will guess that either that was it OR she kept going and you had a long night & needed some rest. Hope to hear more about it and maybe see some pictures in the nursery section. I'll be watching for it!
