| ![]() My cocker spaniel (yes, I know, not a yorkie, but he's my old grumpy man!) has this kind of film on one of his eyes. The vet said that it's some condition cockers get, but the film sometimes looks like swollen muscle tissue or bloody flesh even! He told us when we got my guy's checkup that it isn't cataracts, and that at 9 years, this is perfectly normal for him to have, just get him checked out twice a year etc. Well, I was sick all last night, and didn't fall asleep until like 9am and woke up at 3. The last time I saw my boy was when I got up to go to the restroom at about 8:30am. He sleeps either on the bathroom floor or in the tub. Idk why, he just does. Now, I'm not saying that my bathroom is dirty, but I saw on television that when you flush, the mist from the water scatters fecal matter throughout the bathroom, and you should mop every day or every other day. It's been about two days since I mopped, and I wasn't planning on doing it until later tonight anyway. Is it possible that my boy got pink eye from laying on the bathroom floor? Is it even possible, or has anyone else seen this? His eye won't even open sometimes, and it's got this pink thing sticking out of it, but when we took him in the car, he seemed fine. I'm so confused. I can't afford to take him to the e.v. if it's something they can't even treat. help?

Donating YT 30K Club Member | ![]() I know my sisters Cocker got a conditon Cherry eye which had nothing to do with pink eye which is an infection. The cherry eye sometimes resolves itself or hers needed surgery. Iam not real familiar with it but I know cockers are prone to it. Hope he feels better soon. I have an 11 year old grumpy pom!
