| Bax got into some fire ants! Baxter was staying with my sister while I was out of town and they both got into some fire ants. He got the worst end of it and has 6 places on him where he was bitten. Thankfully he didn't have any kind of allergic reaction to them. She said he acted kind of tired but we thought he was just tired from playing with her dog. I started giving him a little Benadryl for the itching last night. We've been through 3 bouts of worms, 2 cases of seed ticks and now fire ants. This dog has a problem with pests!!! |

| My Schnauzer (she has been gone for a long time now) got attacked by fire ants too. She had an allergic reaction and WOW was it scary. She swelled all up and couldn't breath very well. I had to take her to the ER, but I don't don't remember what she was put on. Thank goodness he wasn't allergic!

| I'm sorry to hear about Baxter getting into the fireants. He just be some kind of miserable. I'm sure he's going to be gnawing at those bites, and they are going to fester up with that poison. I don't have a plan for you, I hope you do. Soooo sorry. Those things are painful.

| I've been giving him some liquid Benadryl in the morning and at night and the sores have gone down a lot. It is amazing how much better they are. Hopefully soon he'll be good as new. |
