My Schnauzer (she has been gone for a long time now) got attacked by fire ants too. She had an allergic reaction and WOW was it scary. She swelled all up and couldn't breath very well. I had to take her to the ER, but I don't don't remember what she was put on. Thank goodness he wasn't allergic!
