Oh Jenny, I am so sorry girl :( I had been praying that Maya would be ok and that she wouldn't have to stay at the hospital. I am just so sorry. That poor, sweet little girl....I know your worried about her :( Hopefully though, she will only have to stay one night at the vets, and then she can come home. I know you'll be so lost without her if she has to stay gone for 2 nights/days :( Although, I the most important thing is that she gets better ASAP....and I'm sure that they are taking GREAT care of her up there :) I am still keeping her in my thoughts and prayers sweetie...keep us updated :hug:

I have very good news ... the Vet just called me before they changed Staff for tonight and she said they have done the X-Ray thing where they give her meds and take pics every 15 to 30 min to see if something is blocked ..... and .... there's not. I am so relieved right now .... :)

BUT ... she has not really improved yet ... they gave her meds for her tummy and meds for her pooper ..... :eek: ... and so far there was no more blood ...... she has been crying for a while so she said one of the Ladies in the Lab had Maya sitting on her Lap for a while ..... :)

She also said Maya showed her true Terrier Heritage .... she bit one of the Nurses and that is the 2 time for today she did that ..... :eek: they said she is quite beastie today ... I would be scared too with all theses needles .... :(

Anyway ... she will have another IV throughout the night and my Vet will be back tomorrow morning at 8 and she said to call her at 9:00 so she can tell me what we're doing .....

So I guess it is a Virus after all ..... Yorkiechick1 ... thanks for your Info ... I told her about that and she said we will talk about that tomorrow morning .....

Jenny, I just now saw this thread about poor little Maya. I'm praying for her to pull thru with flying colors and for the vet to have the wisdom and knowledge to know what to do for her.

She has really been thru it this year...poor little darling.

That sounds like a horrible virus, I often wished I could bite a nurse, some are so bad at putting in IV's and some are so good. At least a dog will let them know it. Hope she feels better soon.

I just read this. my mom told me she heard there is a virus going around so maybe she got that. I hope she is better. Every time one of mine get sick like that i give them pedialyte and cook them white rice and chicken and they usually get better right away. Give Maya a kiss!

Update .... I am Upset right now ....
 

.... it is 9:30 am here and I called the Vet and she said she has to stay until Saturday afternoon .... :cry:

She is on an IV right now .... and she has not been pooping since yesterday afternoon ...... :( ... there is a very small chance she can come home tonight but she said not to bet on it ..... but she said for sure Saturday afternoon ..... :(

I thought for sure she would be better today ..... :( .... stupid Virus .... :mad:

Awww, I am sorry to hear this Jenny. But at least you know that if she's there she will have help at hand.
Pheoebe had a similar virus and she was better in 4-5 days. Don't worry, the little princess will be with you soon.

awww I know how hard it is to be seperated from your baby, especially when they are sick :( Im sorry you can't get her until saturday, but I am glad to hear she is improving a little bit everyday. She'll be better very soon and this will all be behind you. Hang in there girl! (((HUGS))) to you and to Maya!
