Awwww, poor little Maya! :( I am so sorry that she is sick girl...I feel so darn awful for her! And you too because I know how it is for us mommies when our babies aren't feeling well....it just totally breaks your heart :cry: What a good mommy you are for going to lay down with her - you are so sweet Jenny :hug: Give her hugs, kisses and snuggles from the babies and I. I will say a little prayer that she does well through the night and that she will not have to stay at the vet's with an IV :( Hopefully everything will clear up shortly - keep us update sweetie! :hug:

Awww Jenny thank you for the update. Let's hope the virus will go away soon and you won't need to take her back in.

I am glad she doesn't have worms. Poor little thing, I am sure she's going to get lots of love and kisses from mommy.

She sure needs to get better soon so she can open up the presents from her SB!!!

We had a rough night .... Maya is not doing to good this morning ! I did give her the meds and the food but she was not to interested in it last night .... so this morning I gave her rice and cheese and she ate it all .... she is still not drinking to much ....... :(

My Hubby stayed up with her half of the night takeing her outside and making sure she is alright .... ..... he is very worried about her .... there snuggling on the sofa ..... ;)

She is pooping pure blood this morning and I am worried .... a lot !!! My Vet App. is in about 4 hr. .....

Jenny, My friend just recently had the same bloody type of diarreah and then just blood and her chihuahua had HGE, Hemorrhagic GastroEnteritis. Here is a link with info on HGE, Veterinary Q & A - Hemorrhagic GastroEnteritis (HGE) in Dogs
Maybe you can ask your vet about it, her dog had to go on an IV and antibiotic and stay overnight at the vet, her dog was back to normal in about 3 days. Good Luck, I wish you nothing but the best!!

Oh no! Poor Maya! I am just now seeing this thread...you are in my thoughts and prayers. I see you posted at 12:54 am my time and it's about 2am now so hopefully the next couple hours go quickly until you can get back to the vet.

Came back to check for an update Jenny

I am so sorry things are not better for Maya. Please let us know what the vet said. I really hope they will find out soon what's happening to Maya, and treat it!

Update .....
 
Well I just got back from the Vet and I had to leave Maya there ..... :cry:

They took her temp. and when she pull the Thermometer out it was covered in slimy Blood ... so they took her in the back right away .... I could not even say 'Goodbye' .... she said they will give her an IV ... antibiotics and run Bloodwork on her and some Test ..... she said she will have an X-Ray too ...... there going to call me later ..... the fever did not go down at all .....:(

She said she might be back home tomorrow night if everything goes well .... but it could be 2 days ..... :eek:

There still thinking it is a Virus that is going around .... seems to be a pretty bad one ..... the place was swamped today again ..... :confused:

Oh Jenny I am so sorry to hear that. Here was me praying for good news...and they kept Maya there. At least you know that they will take good care of her and they're trying to find out what is happening. Don't worry, she'll be home soon. Big hugs to you Jenny and prayers keep coming up for Maya.

Thanks Girl ... I was just on the phone with them .... they called and said the x-ray shows her stomach is twice the size and they think there is something blocked somewhere and the poop can't pass ..... :eek:

Bloodwork was ok though .... that is sooo wired ..... poor Maya .....:(

Hopefully whatever it is they can take it out soon. I know you will always worry but I really believe she's in good hands and they will make her better again!

Yeah ... I know ... I am surprised I am not too freaked out then last time we had that Emergency .... they love her and take care of her ..... I just hope it is nothing serious ....

Im sorry Maya is ill...but she obviously is in good hands..hopefully they can zero in on the problem and help her to feel better soon! ;)

Oh I'm so sorry :( I sure hope Maya feels better really soon. Hopefully they know what is wrong with her now and can do something about it.
