I have stayed out of this thread but if she is using goat wormer she is obviously not getting the dog the medical help it needs. How does she know it isnt something more serious than worms |
Gotta agree...if she were worried about Brudas as stated in her title as well as the beginning of this thread, waiting until next week would not be an option. If she was so much in a way to get help for this dog and finally (she says) got a call from and vet and says "Okay! I just got a call from a vet! I will get an appointment made!", doesn't that sound a little bit turned around? I mean, she talked with the vet but then will get an appt made? I'm sorry, but the couple of times that I needed answers from an emergency vet, I did not let them off the phone until I had answers as well as a plan of action, be it me observing or bring the cat/dog into the office. |
Ummm also if her aunt is a breeder/pro I would think that she would turn to her first for advice and also maybe a referral to a vet for help instead of blindly needing to find a vet. |

thank you for your kind response.. i got so riled up my posts were deleted.. sorry...:) |
I'm just wondering...if your aunt is a pro breeder can't she help you out? Seriously? I'm sure that she cares about dogs and if she's a PRO then she's gotta have some kind of money she'd let you borrow. I'm 15, too. I get that it's frustrating to not have money. But that's not an excuse to let your dog suffer. If your parents won't help you (or can't help you) and you can't afford it yourself, it is time to turn the dogs over. The fact that you were going to breed a 10 lb female from a puppy mill with a male from a puppy mill also shows that you don't know as much as you might think you do about dogs. How come you can afford to get him a dental check but you can't take him to the vet? Keeping their teeth healthy is important, but it's MUCH more important to keep them alive. Take the money you were planning on using for the dental and use it for the emergency! It really isn't brain surgery - there are ways to solve this problem if you try hard enough! If you really, really can't help your dog, the humane thing to do would be to give him to a rescue OR to a vet. I'm not picking on you, and I do feel bad for you. But your dog needs help. He may "appear" to be better, but the virus could still be in him. PLEASE tell me he's no where near your other dog - you need to keep them seperated. I wish you the best of luck. Please keep us updated. |

We know what's wrong with him. Some of his (the breeder) dogs has had the same thing. He said to gve him Ivormec ( I think that's how you spell it). 2 1/2 cc's for three days will take care of it. He is a very trusted man when It comes to dogs. I don't have to worry about the vet bill because he will help me. I will advertise dogs for him, and he will give me $50 in return for each one I sell. He's going to pay me in advance. Everythings good now. Oh and as for pictures of the dog kennel and dog house. Sure I'll send pics. I haven't seen commercial dog houses that have a AC/Heating unit either. My Uncle and I built mine. He works at a saw mill so he got some super great wood for free! We bought the unit and installed it ourselves. We're quite proud of it really! It will be a while before I can get pics because my Mom lost her camera but it will show up somewhere! Thanks to all! |
I'm sorry about your puppies, and I hope Brudas (I hope I got that right :)) starts to feel better very soon! I do hope you post pictures of the "Puppy Condo" you have created. I've never heard of anything like that and I'm very curious to see what that looks like!! (I hope you don't mind:D) |
Isn't the dealer/breeder in the hospital? |
I didn't read this entire thread, as it seems to have gone a bit crazy.... but from one of the last posts I did read, by the OP - - I just wanted to comment that 2 1/2 cc's of Ivomec will KILL a small dog.... in fact, that dosage would likely kill a LARGE dog... Maybe I didn't read it right.... I'm replying pretty hastily ... but the dosage for Ivomec (injectible - given orally) is 1/10 cc PER 10 LBS BODY WEIGHT.................. that's ONE TENTH of A CC - - - If you try to give your lil' dogs the dosage you posted.... trust that they WILL DIE................. Good luck... |
:thumbup: Say it again Sista ! AMEN |
