| Blind Yorkie and Diapers Does anyone have advice on using doggie diapers? I have a blind Yorkie and have just started using the doggie diapers for inside the house. I was having to take her outside about once every hour. She is 13 years old and losing bladder control, but is otherwise excellent health. The only problem with the diapers is that after she walks around for a while, they creep off and I end up constantly adjusting them. Any suggestions or alternatives??? I'm really trying to prevent her from using the bathroom all over the house. Thanks, Andrea |

| There are lots of ppl here that make doggie clothing - you can get some 'panties' made for her, they stay on with velcro and you can put a maxi pad inside to collect the pee |

| Thanks Nicole! Thank you...I have seen some of the velcro panties in the pet store ...I didn't know if the sanitary pads would catch the urine, but "yes" I guess I could try that and see. That may be a more economical too! I may have to think about going this route. The diapers are really expensive. Thanks Nicole. Andrea |

Donating YT 10K Club Member | You don't have to place an entire pad inside either...you can cut them in half and it'll work. Or you can at least try that...and adjust as necessary. Give that "baby" a kiss for me.

| I have found the Poise pads work great in my boys' belly bands. They work very well by cutting them in half. Good luck with your sweet baby.

| I have a tiny chihuahua that sometimes has to wear diapers to bed because she pees on my bed!! Yuck!! I just buy human diapers and cut a hole for her tail! They are cheaper than doggie diapers and have more elastic around the legs and waist so they stay on better. I have to find the preemie size because she is only 3 lbs. and sometimes I wrap tape around the waist so she can't wiggle out of them!! Good Luck!!

| When Mimi went into heat before I could get her spayed I used baby diapers on her. I would cut a hole in the back for her tail. They worked great for me. I also still use them on my sisters dog when she comes to visit. She likes to peepee everywhere. |

I believe she uses a pad inside (which she changes often) so the diaper itself is reusable until the elastic stretches out too much to stay on.
