| Help QUICK!!! Meeka has been acting funny the last hour or so.. She was laying on the couch for about an hour, and got up and seemed fine and about 5 minutes after her getting up she was acting really weird, she started gagging a little and is a little bit wobbly. She is laying on the couch and looks to be shallow breathing, could this be low blood sugar? HELP!!! |

| Thanks you guys! I tried the Karo syrup and no improvment. I ended up driving her to the emergency vet to see what was going on. She was acting a little better by the time we got up there (It's about an hour and a half away) They did blood work and a EKG and everything came back normal although her Red Blood cells were a little high but he said it's because she was somewhat dehydrated. So they gave her some fluids and sent me home with nurti cal. He wanted to do a bunch more tests but I just couldn't afford it, tonight visit cost me $540 already. If it happens again I will take her back in and have all the additional tests ran but for right now she is a little groggy but pretty much back to her old self. I am going to have a Bile Acid test ran on monday (how much do those tests normally run?) My husband was a little upset about the cost of the vet tonight and her turn out to be fine now but if I had to sell my car or whatever else to make sure she is healthy and fine I will do it! No amount of money could keep me from taking care of her health. Thanks for being there for me in my moment of crisis!! I will update more if anything new develops |

| Oh gosh, I hope she is ok and back to being herself this morning. You were smart to take her into the Vet. Sorry to hear about the expensive vet bill....ugh, we can all relate. But as you said, these babies are our babies and their isn't anything we wouldn't do for them. You are a good mom. Keep us updated on how she is doing.

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | I'm so glad she is better, I loved how you said you would sell your car as that is exactly how I feel about my fur babies. They are worth more than MY weight in gold!
