I know she is not really a yorkie. but she thinks she is.She is in so much pain right now:(I was up with her from 2:30 on. She was whining and couldn't put any weight on her back right leg. she is now at the vet. I took her first thing this am. My poor sweet golden girl tore her ACL!!!She'll need surgery:(I'm sitting at work and and all I want to do is cry. I go to pick her up at 3 and I find out when surgery will be then. I'm so scared and worried for her.... Please keep her in your prayers.

aww Lori I'm so sorry. Give my Amy girl a big hug for me and tell her that Abby is looking down on her blessing her a speedy recovery.

My brothers boston terrior (Tuff) had to have that surgery...he did very well and loved the pampering he got while he had his cast on..he also had a broken knee cap too ...

Awww Lori, big hugs. ACL seems routine, is there something else going on that's making you so worried about it? I think it's going to be just fine and Amy will be running around in no time.

I am so sorry about Amy. My yorkie Zorro had that a long time ago and the surgery and recovery went well. Praying Amy will do fine.

Lori,
My BIL & SIL's lab had that surgery a few months ago and did great! For therapy, they let her swim in the pool after she had healed a bit and she's practically back to her normal self.

She still limps slightly after she's laid on that side for a while, but othewise you would never know anything had been wrong with her.

Your Amy is in our prayers. We love Goldens too :) :hug:

Hey - I really feel for your suffering as you go through this difficult time. I must tell you, though, that I know several dogs who have had this surgery and they all came out really well in the long run.

It is a painful injury for a human or a dog. Even with the discomfort of surgery, it feels a lot better when it is fixed than it did when it was wrecked.

Your dog will show you bravery, and some Medicam will keep the animal resting while they heal.

Thank you Whit I am just Worried cause she is my baby just like the rest of them.
She is laying down now resting on pain meds. She looks so sad. Then I walk up to her and her tail starts thumping and I just know she'll be ok..

Awww Lori, :big_hug: to you for all that has been happening in your life this summer.........one thing after another it seems; non-stop.

I am sure that Amy will be up and about :doghop: before long once she has her surgery on Tuesday. While she heals she can just bask in all the extra special love and attention she will be getting from you, hubby, Bre, and of course the other 3 fur-kids:aimeeyork:aimeeyork:aimeeyork.

If there is anything I can do, let me know. I'll be thinking of you and Amy on Tuesday with prayers that all goes well.

Lori I have been so busy I am just now seeing this I hope Amy isn't hurting to much before her surgery. Give her a hug from us! We will be praying her surgery goes smoothly.

yes she is on or should I say was on Tramadol till today. she can't have anything else till after the surgery.
how it happened .. well we think that it may have been a partial tare till last Tuesday Then she was really excited to see me and came taring thought the kitchen and biffed it on the tile. I swear she thinks she is a Yorkie and can just run and play like one....
she is holding up pretty well but is in pain.
we go in at 7:30 on Tuesday. I am off that day so I'll keep you updated... she wont come home till Thursday.

Amy wanted to tell you all thank you for your prayers. she loves you all.

here she is just a few minutes ago. she is all comfy.. at least I hope she is.

Thank you hun. She has to be at the Vet at 8 am on Tuesday morn. She is in alot of Pain right now due to the fact she can't have her meds.
she can use all the Prayers YT can give.

Checking in Lori, to see how Amy is doing. Poor baby, she looks kinda sad in those pictures......or is that just what we see cuz we feel so bad for her? I'm sure she will be much happier once this is all over and done with. I'll be back tomorrow to see how things went. Big hug for sweet Amy...and one for you to!
