| update on Scruffy and heart failure Well, it's been 5 months about and he is still with me. I give him his meds--lasix, enacard and other -faithfully. He has some bad cough days and others are better. He is happy still and still does his little roly-poly roll in the morning and his "puppy" bark at me--(he is 13!) He loves the beach and walks a little out there, then we go home. Well, thanks for all the support, I haven't been here lately but I just checked and saw the kind emails from all. |

| Hole in the heart-need information Where can I find information about what can be done for a dog with a hole in his heart? Any good websites that you know? |

| I don't know about a hole in the heart but I do know about PDA. Can you tell us alittle more info: has he seen a cardiology vet? Has he had an echo/ultrasound? What exactly did the vet say regarding the condition and possible treatment? How old is the dog? Was this congenital or something else? Have you tried looking into a School of Vet Medicine in your state for info/treatment? My Scooter was born with Patent Ductus Arteriosis, saw a cardiology vet, had an echo and then had corrective surgery with a wonderful vet surgeon.
