| Poor Jenny Jenny is sick again..... throwing up and diarhea... I took her to the vet here in Kiev, and she said her intestinal/digestive flora is very messed up The reason? STUPID shots the vet back home gave her...Im pretty upset.. So now she has to be on a strict diet, and special medicine.. I want her to feel better but she keeps getting sick poor thing.. I get so frustrated with her sickness, Im up half the night cleaning up runny poo and barf...its all over the carpet, and her bedding.. I wish I knew how to make her better without all those IV's and meds...She's so skinny too...She looks at me with her sad eyes... and I just want to cry.. Has anyone dealt with this bowl problem before???

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Can you be more specific? What do you mean intestinal flora is messed up from shots? And what are they treating her with?

| She had an allergic reaction from the shots, and because she kept vomitting and having diarhea on and off her digestive system cant figure out what to do with food so it treats it like that. They gave her a couple of shots and we make her drink special powders for her tummy to digest better. She is also on a strict diet, with chicken and rice, or chicken and buckwheat. She is active and hungry, so I guess she's not in much discomfort. Thats one good thing, but the runny stuff is pretty bad for her. She seems to be getting better slowly.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | This doesn't seem right to me - have they done a fecal test? Protracted diarrhea from "shots" doesn't make physiological sense to me. If she is a puppy, they need to do a fecal test. Also, how long has now been on *only* chicken with carb? Bc that could be causing diarrhea too (if the diet isn't balanced with supplementation). If her digestive system is truly stressed, probiotics would be useful (the flora normally in the intestines). What shots caused the reaction in the first place?

| We just put her on that diet, nothing else worked. Or it did for a dew days and went bad. They did a fecal back home, there was nothing they could find. of course.. Oh yes she is also on probiotics.
