| I think Mr. Biggs has an upset stomach.. ..at least, that's all I hope it is. This morning I took the boys out for their morning walk.. Mr. Biggs was acting normal at first --he peed, pooped....but then instead of doing his usual "marking" he kept trying to eat the grass. Anyway, we went back home and then after a little while he started acting weird... he was was walking around the house with his tail between his legs and he would wimper in pain. At first I thought it was his joints (sometimes his back leg joints cause him pain if he jumps from the back of the couch.) So I did the usual of checking his joints and extending them and checking all his paws and nails...and he didn't wimper once. I noticed he keeps walking around like he's uncomfortable. Anyway, he did it again while I was in the shower and this time, when I got out of the shower, after he wimpered a bit, I heard his stomach make gassy noises. I figured he had to go to the bathroom, so I imediately took him outside. The first thing he did was lay down and eat the grass. i let him eat it for a while and then he finally threw up, but he only threw up grass and saliva. Sure enough, when I brought him back home he started wimpering on and off and walking around as though he doesn't feel good. My mom found an article that says to give them pureed brocolli or green beans and to mix in some chicken broth for flavor. Has anyone heard of this? Does this help them to have a bowel movement? I hate it when my boys are in pain. At least if they've heart themselves I know what to do, but I don't know what to do for an upset tummy. At least, I hope it's just an upset tummy.. Any advice or tips would be greately appreciated. If he's still like this tomorrow and hasn't had another bm, I'm going to the vet first thing in the morning.

YT 1000 Club Member | I don't know if green beans or broccoli are good for a tummy ache or not but Roxie loves them. If your baby is eating grass that's a good sign of a tummy issue. I think they usually eat it to help with digestive stuff...like grass is fibrous. I know this morning Roxie threw up a ball of mucous grass. Awww the joys of summer! If your puppy keeps whimpering I'd confer with your vet, they'd have the best solution for you. Maybe someone else on here has more suggestions. I hope your baby feels better quickly! |

| Thanks I pureed him the brocolli yesterday afternoon and gave him a little bit of it. Sure enough, a little while later he threw it all up.... but odly enough, he wasn't wimpering anymore after that. I guess he just needed to get it all out. lol. We treated him with boiled chicken and white rice last night and I'm going to give him that for the next couple days just to make sure his tummy is back to normal. I'm just thankful that he isn't wimering anymore and is barking and wagging his tail as usual now. lol
