Donating YT 500 Club Member | ![]() Brooke - just to give him a little relief for the night, what about trying a warm soak. Fill the sink with warm water, hold Stedman by his bottom and just let him sit in the warm water. I know after having my babies warm baths always made me feel better "down there".

| ![]() Oh no!! I am sorry to hear Stedman isn't feeling well, poor little guy. ![]() Do you think he has crystals blockage? My cat had that and he would cry out and pain when trying to go to the bathroom and he wasn't able to. I have heard it can happen in dogs too. It seems to be most common in males. I am glad you are taking him to the vet, if he has crystals he will need treatment right away. Here is an article on stones and crystals, it says yorkies are one of the breeds that are known for it. Calcium Oxalate Crystals in Dog Urine I will say a prayer for Stedman and that he gets some relief soon!! Please keep us updated on what the vet says. Hugs to you and Stedman!! ![]()

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | ![]() oh no Brooke, i'm sorry to hear that Steddy still isn't pooping and now not peeing. I can't think of something that would cause both not to happen. When dogs can't pee its usually because there are crystals or stones in the bladder. When they can't poop its usually because there is such a back up of poop they just can't get it out, or there is a mass, or they have prostate problems. If we do surgery on an animal that can't poop (usually have many months of trying other options) we give them an enema or two to get things moving. warm soapy water is what we use most of the time, however the trick is to get it as far up there as you can. to do this we use a type of tube attached to a syringe. Push the water through slowly because if you go to fast you can cause the poop to come out the other end, ie his mouth and that is just not pleasant for either participant. Honestly i just wouldn't do anything until he was seen by a vet. don't give him any meds from home, especially aspirin, because if they are still working when the vet sees him it may skew his exam. i hope you get good news from the vet today and its nothing serious
