This happened to my girlfriend's yorkie. He was only 4 lbs and kept getting stones and finally his ureter was so scarred up that they had to make him a vagina!! No kidding, he had a doggie sex change!! He was fine after that!! Of course, we used to tease her about it!!

OMG....that is SO AWFUL :cry: I would die if Stedman had to go through something like this...omg....

Thank you so much Kellie :) :hug: I was hoping that it wasn't the NV because he really does love this food and eats it so well...and as I think you know, Stedman is a super picky eater, so when I find a food that he will eat well, like the NV Raw, I want to stick with it if at all possible. I did tell the vet what he was eating and he didn't seem to have a problem with it. In fact, they now sell it up there and he too agrees that it is a very good food. As for the veggies - what about green beans? Are those ok? Because he does get those sometimes, but not "alot".

I too hope that the UTI clears up quickly with the meds. He is peeing better today, better than he was yesterday, which I am SO thankful for. He's still not going like he SHOULD BE....but at least it's better than yesterday. Maybe the antibiotics are already helping and I hope they continue to do so. Maybe tomorrow will be even better than today :thumbup: I am keeping my fingers crossed.

You're probably totally right about the insurance girl. I think I am just going to pass as it probably wouldn't cover anything just said you said - because they are pre-existing conditions. :( We honestly are ok with paying for things, but I just thought that the insurance might help being that we are at the darn vets so much :( However, if I want, I could always open up another account as someone said and just put some money aside every month - you know, "just in case" money. It would be good (and smart) to do. Cause my babies are living proof that ya never know what might happen or when the next vet visit will be....Lord knows that lately with us, it's been pretty darn often :rolleyes: lol.

As far as my babies go, sigh.....I don't know what it is :( I know I DO worry about them more because they are small...you're right, but I tell ya, they really DO have more problems. I haven't had to take Pippi or Peach, OR Brinkley (the cat) in for ANYTHING "medically" wrong (other than to get shots) the whole entire time that I've have both Stedman and Tatum - and between the both of them (Steddy and Tator) I've been to the vet I don't even know how many times...I lost count! lol.

Oh well, regardless they are my babies and I'd walk through fire for them :) It doesn't matter to me what problems they have....all I can do is fix them and make them better - that's all that any of us can do :)

Thank you so much sweetie...you are just so incredibly kind :hug: I guess the whole reason he got backed up was because of whatever he....ate? Him eating something that he shouldn't of is the only thing we can think of. They did look at the objects that they found after they did the enema on him, but to tell ya the truth, they didn't know what the heck they were :confused: I saw them on the x-rays and they were round little...whatever? :confused: I have no idea! It's so strange. He did say that they were extremely hard. Thankfully though, they removed them all - now we just have to worry about what that is that's showing up on the x-rays by his "wee wee" :cry: I am still so worried and concerned about that....

Stedman probably DOESN'T drink quite the amount of water that he should be drinking...I personally think that he should be drinking more. He is on NV Raw and I do notice that when I feed him dry kibble (Wellness Core), he drinks alot more water. I mentioned this to the vet, and told him that he probably isn't drinking enough water, but the vet said that he didn't think that that is what caused the UTI.
