Im so sorry to hear about this |
Phoebe update Phoebe is scheduled for her cataract surgery on Dec 3. We go the day before for some sort of test to make sure her eyes can have surgery. If that test is OK, she has surgery the next day. I am so excited. Ill be sure to update when it is over. Thank you everyone for all your kind wishes for Phoebe and for me too! |
That is good news, can't wait to hear from you. |
Great news! Keep us posted, please! |
Best wishes for a great outcome and speedy recovery for you and Phoebe after her surgery!! Sending her lots of yorkie kisses. |
Phoebe update Phoebe had her cataract surgery on Wed. She did fine through anesthesia. She can see again. They were not able to implant artifical lenses due to the condition of her cataracts. This just means she cant focus up close. She will be slowly recovering over the next 4 weeks. The major goal is to keep her very calm so her retina doesn't detatch. She is on 5 different eye drops and 4 pills. Some of the eye drops are administered 6X a day. It will be a full time job caring for her for the next few weeks. Im already tired. Thanks for all the well wishes and kind words. |
What wonderful news! I hope she makes a speedy recovery! |
Phoebe is gorgeous. I am definitely not just saying this but this is my honest opinion she has to be one of the most gorgeous shnauzer's I have ever seen! I will keep her in my prayers she is a very very strong precious angel in my eyes! |
Oh, that is great news. I am so happy for you. I know about the drops after surgery, I had it, it is a full time job for a while. |

It so sad .I have a foster pekanise, that had to have his eyes taken out and is only 9 and he is sad sometime, but hope to find him that foever home some day.So my heart goes out to you. |
I had a dachshound that was born blind. I had him for 10 years before he died of age and kidney failure. He adjusted just fine to where ever we went or moved. Bumped into stuff in the beginning but started to remember locations of table, chairs, stairs etc etc really fast. Dog are super smart and will adjust to this. |
Hope Phoebe is recovering well from her surgery. God bless you all. |
That is great news!!! |
