| liver shunts has anyone ever heard of a liver shunt closing up on it's own? My little baby abbigail i have been told has an external liver shunt. But her blood bile test was 5 pre and 85 post. which is alot lower than the test she had about a month ago. so i am wondering if maybe it's closing up on it's own. |

| I am researching this also Quote:
My puppy has been sick and he had a BAt after being hospitalized for weakness from vomiting and diarrhea. I have noticed he had his 2nd vaccine 1 week before he got sick. I keep trying to find other reasons for his illness. I just don't want it to be a liver shunt problem. I have posted alot of questions and blood test results from his illness. He is now on flagyl and amoxicillin and will be done with these meds soon. So time will tell if he has further problems. I am trying to figure out if these symptoms (illnesses) were caused by a reaction to the vaccines? Or he trully just got ill? Or he got ill because he has a liver shunt problem. | |

A liver shunt will not close up on it's own.

Donating YT 10K Club Member | A bile acid test measures liver function and the liver continually filters her blood. The results will vary from day to day......it doesn't remain constant. Perhaps she's being treated by diet and supplements...that alone could explain the decrease.
