Is she getting over heated? Izzy threw up again this morning. I gave her her dog food mixed with cottage cheese but she didnt eat it. I figured Id give her some time and see if she would eat it after a while. But she didnt then all of a sudden I heard her making this wierd nose and looked and she threw up a little bit. So I threw away the cottage cheese and dog food mixture and cleaned her bowl and gave her just some reg. food mixed with a little water and then some hard food...kinda like some soft and hard food. I also had to force some karo in her. She hates it so much she wont even come to me if she sees me with it. she ate some of her food...well most of her food after that. which is relief...but Im wondering if she threw up cause she got too hot?

Well called the vet. She suggested I keep an eye on her and if she pukes again or doesnt seem to feel better or doesnt eat for me then to bring her in. I dont really want to bring her in thou cause thats money I dont have. I dont get paid till next week and her last vet bill broke my back. Plus the receptionist milked me outta an extra twenty and lied about it. SO there goes my gas money. I just wanted to know how common this is and was it just her being too hot or anything simple. Maybe when I get paid I will buy the book.

My littlest one will throw up if he gets overheated. Otherwise it'll be because they either went too long without eating or they got into something they weren't supposed to As long as they are eating, pooping and playing I don't get too concerned unless it goes on for too long.

| Did you try yogurt? Maggie gets carsick if we go for a drive too soon after she's eaten...also if we play too hard after she's eaten. Plain or vanilla yogurt calms her tummy. I also let her play with ice cubes because then I know she's getting a bit of water too so she'll stay hydrated. Good luck

Hey thanks/ I think I will try that. I will probably be taking her back to the vet for her last shots in about a week or so. so when we go in I will see if she has any internal issues. I feel so silly sometimes cause I question everything. I just worry about her. I want her to be healty.

I always boil up some chicken and add some cooked rice and broth with it when mine show stomach upset. The chicken is a good protein source and the rice will help soak up some the bile. You mainly want to make sure it doesn't continue for too long and make sure she stays hydrated. I sometimes will use a lottle pepto-bismol to help calm their stomach. You can try about 1 cc per 3 pounds of body weight.
