| Jazzi had to go to the ER last night Good Morning everyone, Jazzi is in need of some prayers this morning. She went out to play with the kiddos last night and got a sticker and when she came back in she got it out and ate it. In the process it got hung up in her little throat and was not able to get it loose. She caughed, and spit and gagged but nothing. She started to throw up and still nothing I checked everytime. I called the vet around 9:30 and took her in. At first she seemed to have calmed down and wasnt doing the caughing and hacking and wasnt spitting up. Then the vet was getting ready to give her a steroid shot and some benedryl when she had another spurt of caughing and gagging and he decided he wanted to sedate her and take better look to see what was going on. I had to leave her there and have not heard anything as of yet this morning. I called in around 8:15 and he was with her so now I sit and wait to hear back from him. Im about to go crazy playing the waiting game, I keep telling myself no news is good news as if something were wrong he would have called me back by now!!!!!

| Yay!!!!! Just heard back from the vet, Jazzi is doing great this morning! The vet said that he was able to get a good look at her little throat and she had apparently caughed it up or worked it down as there was nothing in there. He said she was swollen and had quite a bit of irritation but all looked good. He put her on steroids and an antibiotic to help get everything back to normal. Also while he had her sedated he went ahead and pulled out all those little baby teeth that needed to come out. Soooooo 300.00 bucks later all is good and she will be comming home this afternoon. Man she scared me to death!!!!

| Glad Jazzi is better. I had a dog who swallowed a fox tail once and needed surgery to remove it. Glad she was able to move it along herself.

| Poor Jazzi - how painful for her and scary for you. I am glad that all is well and she will be coming home this afternoon. The er doc was really considerate by pulling all those baby teeth while she was in the twilight zone. Hugs to both of you |

YT 1000 Club Member | So glad to hear that Jazzi is OK....poor thing. These little critters will eat anything! While it was good that the vet took out her teeth while she was already sedated..he should really have consulted you prior to doing this though!

| Yes I was a little upset about that more than anything due to the cost, what if I hadnt had the money to pay for that extra....... What would they have done then??? Hole my little jazzi for colateral....... It was bad enough the after hour fees and sedation fees but the teeth removal was another hundred bucks!!! Guess I am just glad that it is all over with and she is going to be ok that is the most imortant thing!!!
