| Throwing up after every single meal I recently have been switching teddy's food over. And he's been throwing up after every single meal. He threw up sometimes with his regular old food but not this often he doesn't act sick at all.. he has all his shots he is active loves to run and play, no dirreah. I also noticed he doesn't actually chew his food.. just swallows it whole. Could anything he wrong with him?

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | YES. This could be an emergency. What are you feeding? How long has be been vomiting? What are his stools like? Are his gums pink or white? Is he drinking? How old is he?

I've been working on switching his food over from goodlife to iams and after the iams is done I was going to switch him again since I've heard bad things about the company and such. but teddy seems perfectly fine other then he's throwing his food back up almost as soon as he's done eating it.

I'd feed him anything but this. What do you have on hand? Some crackers for his tummy? Yogurt, rice, fish, chicken? Until you can get to the store for a different dog food...

| I'd go back to the old food and see if the vomiting stops. If it doesn't he needs to be seen in case there is an obstruction. If the vomiting stops I would be very suspicious of the new food. I think it would be okay to go back to the old food, keep him on it for a few days, then slowly switch to something else. It would also be okay to give chicken and rice for a day or two if he does well with chicken or a little bit of yogurt and banana. This can also happen with pancreatitis (vomiting after eating) but it would take longer and shouldn't happen right away. If he throws up the next meal with no new food mixed in, I would most definately have him seen. Again, it's probably the food but it could be an emergency if that isn't the case.
