| I use a wash cloth and warm water to clean Little Mans eye bugers. I don't buy eye wipes. I also use baby wipes (unscented and alot cheaper too!) to clean his face and to give a quick fresh smell between baths. I don't use them around his eyes. I'm too scared it will hurt him. But I think a napkin will work too.

| did the vet give you eye drops? If they are human eye drops, I would not use them without asking the vet. I think someone posted something about that awhile back. The best thing is to get a wet soft washcloth just like the previous posted stated and wipe her eyes gently.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | So has she been checked for an eye infection then? Bc eye gunk that is that bad would probably indicate an infection.

| Bella couldn't open her eyes last week. The tear stains around her eyes were pretty bad. She had this problem since she was a pup but I always figured it was just tear stain and nothing major. However last week, she had a cornea ulcer due to "dry eye". Your babie might not be producing enough tears and you may have to use artifical tears (eyedrops) for her daily. I suggest going to the vet and having her eyes check. I'm sure her eyes are very irritated. Better to be safe than sorry. I wish I brough Bella in sooner, the ucler was very painful for her. check out the link below. Dry eye in dogs, from Pet Health 101 good luck! |
