| My baby got spayed today! OMG, what a sad feeling to see your dog go into surgery, I'd cried when the doctor gave her to me... I don't even want to touch her because I don't want to hurt her.... I just wanted to ask anybody that went through this experience with their baby to give me some advise or things that I can do or not do...... to make my baby feel more confortable and not hurt her.... The vet recommended to brake her meals in small portions... so when we got home I gave her just a little bit and she seem to be very hungry...... then not too long ago I gave her a little bit more and same thing so I think she's fine now.... crying a little bit but overall fine....... Thank you all in advance and I hope you can help me... I'm a little bit of a chicken when it comes to do something when my sweet love just came out of surgery and has that thing on her belly................... |

| oh poor sweet girl > while she might seem hungry i would still go slow. Don't be surprised if she has diarrhea. Also she might need help standing> layla needed me to hold up her back end. |

| Just let her rest and keep an eye on her. Make sure she does not try to jump or get too excited. Make sure she does not bite at her incision. I am sure she will be just fine. Good Luck and try not to worry!

| I was you three weeks ago! If it helps, my baby girl is completely and totally back to normal. The first days are hard, but then the incision starts to close, the medicine wears off and your biggest concern is going to be keeping her calm! My little one was out of it and sore the first day after and then each day thereafter she made marked improvement. She also had 10+ teeth pulled during her surgery. Stay calm, keep her near you, pick her up by scooping her up by the tush and come back to YT!! There is always someone online whose experience and knowledge will help you through any panic. Its a great resource. Also remember you did your part to aid in the pet overpopulation crisis! You did the right thing for your furkid's health as well! Congrats on surviving the worst too both of you!

| I am sharing this same experience with you today. My baby boy Kacy got neutered and I felt horrible all day, after I picked him up my stomach went back to place after he started to kiss me a lick me all over (so loyal). Just keep her calm, make sure you clean her daily and hopefully they gave you a cone for her to wear. I was also recomended to use the babies onesie. Give her lots of kisses and before you know it the weel will be over and you are going to feel so much better. Hugs are going her way.

| Is she on pain meds? Ellie did that too (she was in a lot of pain) and because she was spayed when she was older, it took her awhile to bounce back. Just make sure she doesn't run, jump or lick the incision and make sure the incision looks normal. Hope she is feeling better.
