| And, my husband thought I was crazy when I wanted to put a stockade fence up in front of the cyclone fence. Yup, I kept the cyclone fence up - it's behind the stockade. Double the proctection. If it were my dog I would take him to the vet. He may need a shot or something and there may be injuries you do not see. Send your neighbor the bill and I'd also order a stockade fence to prevent it from happening again. Hope he is alright. Elaine |

| As I type my father is putting up another fence in front of the old one. Now there will be 2 fences between the dogs. Cosmos neck is a little swollen we called the vet last night and he said put ice on it and wait till morning. So I plan on heading out soon to get him checked. My neighbor if you wanna even call him that...went up to my dad today and my dad said..i'm not talking to you! and he goes why not? my dad said..your dog almost killed my dog!!! he said oh I apologize. Yeah, little too late for that, hes still getting the bill. I took pictures also, i'll have them posted later on. Thanks everyone |

| Well i'm back from the vet. They ran xrays and said thankfully nothing is broken. They sent him home with medicine, cleaning solution, and cream for his bruises. He seems a little out of wack..I guess its the meds doing that to him. The bill was around 329..neighbor of course, jerk that he is refuses to pay a penny, he says that cosmo has bit his dog before...ok so maybe he has...but NOWHERE near as bad as this!!! cosmo is 5 pounds his dogs are atleast 30! I don't know what i'm going to do...329 dollars doesn't just fall from the sky, but i'm glad cosmo is okay. |

| Wow this is horrible! I'm glad Cosmo if ok tho! Maybe if you pressure your neighbor more, he'll pay it? Have your dad try to talk to him. Did you file a report? I think you should. Good luck with everything!

Living My Yorkie Dream Donating Member | I am so sorry to hear of Cosmo's traumatic experiance and am also relieved to hear that he is okay. I hope that the payment for the vets bill ends up in your favor. Sounds to me like you should file a police report & fight it. My 4 furbabies always run back & forth along the fence with the neighbors german shepherd and their sometimes visiting rhodesian ridgeback-HUGE dog. I have disliked the habit mostly because of the noise & afraid of one of my yorkies getting trampled by the others. Never thought too much about biting through the chain link fence..........til now. We have seriously been thinking of putting up a privacy fence and your story is now one more reason to "get it done". I'm thinking it'll be up before summer's end.

| I am glad to hear that Cosmo is doing okay. Please give me a big hug for me. My Kimchee boy was bitten by a wired fox terrier. He had multiple wounds on his hind legs, and it took him months to heal. He was tramatized, of course. I was so worried that he would become agressive just to protect himself. Good that he stays shy and submissive, he just doesn't like some of the dogs and we are not gonna to force him to play with other dogs. I hope Cosmo will recover soon. Poor little baby!

| Sending a big hug to Cosmo from all of us. We're so thankful nothing serious resulted. I, too, agree with filing a police report. You might also check online to see if there is free legal advice anywhere and go from there. Good luck!
