| Grooming Irritation Today I took Taylor to the groomer for the summer short hair cut. Brought him home, went back to work. When I came home around dinner time, he has been constantly licking his private area. His little boy part is soooooo irritated. I have been up all night watching him trying to keep him from licking anymore to keep him from getting himself more irritated. He is not red really on the outside, but i can see redness from the top to the inside. Any suggestions? |

| Did you try wiping with a damp cloth, I wonder if it could be soap residue |

| Bag Balm is wonderful for skin irritations. It was developed for cow udders which get dried and cracked. It won't harm your little one if it licks it either.

I am going to have to try that.... he is still licking today and he is not too happy. He did not sleep at all last night. He tried to do pee pee today and stopped because he is soooo irritated.

I tried that also. I called the vet today and they suggested that I try to wash him and run cool water... I did that.... he is still irritated... hopefully tomorrow he will wake up and be much better.... If not... off we go to the vet to get some results.

| Poor baby. You might put some Gold Bond Medicated powder on him. I always powder my Bichons when they come home from the groomer because they get clipped short on their under side and get irritated a little sometimes. |
