| I'm ashamed to even admit it now but I got her in Brooklyn at a place called Puppy Boutique AKA Puppy Petite. I just moved to NJ so I was not familar with them at all before. |

| Awww, she's very cute! I'm sorry you're going through so much with her. I have a friend who's yorkie had the backwards sneeze/honk/sniffle problem. She took her to the vet and found out it was only allergies. Hopefully that's her problem, and nothing more serious. Good luck!

| Hi - I just wanted to update everyone on Sasha. I took her to the vet and had x-rays done. Right now it seems like she's just a little congested and/or her Kennel Cough came back a little more agressively. The good news is that it's not pneumonia. So she's on a higher dose of Clavamox now and taking a cough suppressant. My vet told me she might feel a little sleepy from them and if she seemed to be too lethargic then she would adjust the dosage, but she was hyper more than ever last night!! It's like the meds gave her a boost, lol. |

| Your Sasha is a beautiful little girl. So sorry you are having issues. Definitely get a 2nd opinion and education yourself as much as possible on toy breeds. Caring for one is very different from other dogs. If you vet isn't very familiar with toy breeds, I would look immediately for a new one. As far as her sneezing/coughing fits, if she was vaccinated (regularly or intranasally) for bordetalla, it is possible she actually contracted kennel cough from the vaccine. Please review the attached vaccination recommendation by Dr. Jean Dodds, DVM that has been adopted by the top 27 vet schools in the US. Toy breeds have a very high incidence of reactions to vaccines as the amount given is intended for a much larger dog. They also have a very high chance of reaction when a combination vaccine is given. They should not receive more than one vaccine at a time, spaced out at least two weeks apart. Keep in mind that you can always refuse your vet's recommendation of vaccinations. My personal feeling is this schedule by Dr. Dodds is the way to go. Vaccination Schedule Recommendations For Dogs Hope this helps and that your babies blood work is normal. And welcome to YT!!!!!!

| I would definately do a bile acid test. Have you thought about getting a new vet? They should've offered a bile acid test to begin with. If that comes back normal you don't need to spend $700 on testing. Surgery for liver shunt has a very good success rate. It is not a death sentence.

| Your baby is absolutely adorable! I'm so sorry that she isn't feeling well. I'm sending lots of prayers that she starts feeling better. If I were you even if she starts acting healthier, I would get the BAT for your peace of mind.
